I don’t have a tragic story just one of triumph. In 1999 I lost the use of my left eye due to a detached retina.
It happened so suddenly that I wasn't sure exactly what caused it. All I knew is that being a working Illustrator meant that my life and vision was about to change forever.
Since then I’ve managed creative teams and operations on a national and international scale while quietly sketching the characters who lived in my imagination. After losing sight in one eye, I chose not to lose my vision: I reclaimed my creative life and built Ricoglyphics to empower mature creatives over 40 to do the same.
Today, I blend illustration, storytelling, and coaching to help brands and individuals connect authentically with audiences who value depth and legacy. My characters aren’t just drawings, they’re ambassadors of courage, humour, and soul.
